Many people have asked about how I came up with the name of my consulting firm, Three Trees Consulting. The official story is that I strive to incorporate the three legs of sustainability- environment, economic and social- into whatever problem I am solving, which will undoubtedly be somehow related to trees. As luck would have it- I also have three children who happen to all be named after trees. They are our future and they are learning the importance of sustainable use of natural resources. So when I enlisted their help in coming up with a name for my business, they unanimously said "THREE TREES".
They have helped me come up with simple ways to relate tree growth, harvest and mortality to carbon sequestration and storage (see cookie jar blog)
